Chat with the Expert: New Generations of Cathode and Electrolyte Materials
Session Code:
Room D0-03C
Automotive Composites
Session Code:
MCHAT304
Two factors for better market adoption of battery-powered vehicles are longer driving range associated with higher energy density batteries and
improved lifetime of the batteries. Doing so will enable increased driving distances and better customer satisfaction for full electric, plug-in, or hybrid
vehicles. This chat will address new generations of cathode and electrolyte materials that will provide better performance and safety through much
higher energy density and longer battery lifetime.
This session contains papers which describe the use of modern automotive composites in structural applications. Design, process, and analytical
presentations are included, as well as papers presenting results of bonding strategies and techniques. Engineers involved in the design and use of
advanced composites will find this session of particular value.
