The SELECTED VENDOR shall ensure that frequencies selected <strong>for</strong> use are inaccordance with the Region 42 Regional Planning Committee’s 700 MHz plan.3.3.2 <strong>Project</strong> <strong>25</strong> Phase 2A. For the purpose of this document, P<strong>25</strong> Phase 2 refers to the <strong>Project</strong> <strong>25</strong>requirements and standards <strong>for</strong> a digital Common Air Interface (CAI) using a6.<strong>25</strong> kHz equivalent bandwidth, including infrastructure and subscriber devices.B. RESPONDENTS shall provide a <strong>Project</strong> <strong>25</strong> radio system that is compatible withTIA-102 standards.C. It is understood that the completed Phase 2 requirements have not beenpublished by the TIA/EIA, however the P<strong>25</strong> Phase 2 TDMA Physical Layer andMAC Layer documents have been approved <strong>for</strong> publication.D. The proposed radio system shall only require a software upgrade (if required) tobecome compliant with <strong>Project</strong> <strong>25</strong> Phase 2 requirements once they arepublished. Although the proposed radio system shall be installed as a P<strong>25</strong> Phase2 system, the system shall be upgraded if required to the latest P<strong>25</strong> Phase 2standards just prior to system acceptance.3.4 Option 2, UHF P<strong>25</strong> SystemA. As with the 700 MHz option, a number of <strong>Caroline</strong> <strong>County</strong>’s neighbors operate inthe UHF frequency band. The implementation of a UHF system would provide ahigh level of interoperability with these neighboring Counties.B. RESPONDENTS shall provide a <strong>Project</strong> <strong>25</strong> radio system that is compatible withTIA-102 standards.C.
