The NMT shall provide primary processing, display, and control of information toand from a variety of locations. System status and alarm conditions shall bedisplayed. The system shall provide the ability to remotely access the system tocheck the operational status of the system and view alarms.B. Two terminals shall be provided. One located with the Project 25 controlequipment with a second terminal location to be determined during the designphase of the project.C. The NMT shall meet the following general requirements:1. Expandable software and hardware architecture shall be easily updated byadding software modules and hardware boards.2. Hardware and software platform shall be PC based using current versionsof hardware and software.3. Both graphic and tabular displays shall provide instantaneous andcomprehensive network status information.4. The NMT shall provide full archiving and control functions.5. Multiple alarm protocols for higher level network management systems shallbe mediated by the NMT.6. The NMT shall be designed to monitor a large cross section of equipmentso that it can consolidate multiple alarm systems.7. The NMT must perform full management functions with a local terminal.8. The NMT shall provide e-mail notification of alarms.9. The NMT shall provide alarm filtration and consolidation.10. A secure web browser interface shall be provided for common managementfunctions, and to monitor alarms and perform control and managementfunctions via Intranet or Internet.May 27, 2011 Page 71 of 134
