UHF/700 MHz P<strong>25</strong> <strong>Radio</strong> Communications System<strong>Request</strong>ion <strong>for</strong> <strong>Proposals</strong><strong>Caroline</strong> <strong>County</strong>, <strong>Virginia</strong>does not relieve the SELECTED VENDOR from warranty and maintenanceresponsibility as defined in this RFP.10.2.1 General Requirements:A. Comprehensive maintenance services shall be proposed <strong>for</strong> each system.B. RESPONDENTS shall provide a list of maintenance plans available. Plansshould be based on the quantities of equipment included in the proposed system.Plans should have options <strong>for</strong> years four, five, and six from Final Acceptance.These plans shall include:1. Subscriber unit repair2. Fixed equipment onsite service:a. 2-hour response timeb. 4-hour response timec. 8-hour response timed. Next day response timee. Full time onsite technician3. Fixed equipment mail-in board repair:a. Normal response - 7-dayb. Emergency response - Next day4. All fixed equipment maintenance plans shall provide 24-hour systemsupport where users can dial one toll-free number to report problems and/orreceive technical support.5. Additionally, <strong>for</strong> fixed onsite maintenance, the SELECTED VENDOR’s staffwill then dispatch the proper technician in the prescribed response time toresolve the problem, if the SELECTED VENDOR is unable to resolve theproblem through telephone consultation.10.2.2 Maintenance StandardsA.
