This method of passwordmanagement is recommended when running scheduled, unattendedbackups since it ensures that the backup never fails because of an expiredpassword. The default is prompt.A utility program named dsmcutil.exe allows you to manage (update ordisplay) the password as stored in the registry. This utility program isdistributed with the Tivoli Storage Manager backup-archive client package. For more information on using the dsmcutil program, see the dsmcutil.hlpfile or the dsmcutil.txt file which are distributed with the Tivoli StorageManager backup-archive client package.CLUSTERnodeThis option directs the Tivoli Storage Manager API and Data Protection forExchange to be cluster-aware when running in a MSCS or VCSenvironment. This option must be specified for Data Protection forExchange to function properly on a MSCS or VCS.ENABLELANFreeThis option allows Data Protection for Exchange to run in a LAN-freeenvironment (if you are equipped to do so). To perform a LAN-free backupwith Data Protection for Exchange, a Tivoli Storage Manager Storage Agentmust be installed on the same machine and enablelanfree yes must bespecified in the options file. See Managed System for SAN Storage AgentUser’s Guide for detailed information about LAN-free environments.ENABLECLIENTENCRYPTKEYThis option encrypts Exchange databases during backup and restoreprocessing. In this same file, you must also specify the databases you wantencrypted by adding an include statement with the include.encrypt option.Transparent encryption is only available on Tivoli Storage Manager serverand API Version 5.3.0 (or later). Note that files that are backed up usingencryption CANNOT be restored by an older API.v For Legacy backups, specify these encryption options in the DataProtection for Exchange options file.v For VSS Backups, specify these encryption options in the backup-archiveclient options file.
