A <strong>to</strong>tal <strong>of</strong> 116 skills development practitioners were trained as Master Trainers for <strong>the</strong> new NC(V) curriculum in order<br />

<strong>to</strong> subsequently roll out <strong>the</strong> training on <strong>the</strong> new curriculum <strong>to</strong> all o<strong>the</strong>r technical educationists in DCS.<br />

A Memorandum <strong>of</strong> Understanding was signed between <strong>the</strong> DCS and <strong>the</strong> De<strong>part</strong>ment <strong>of</strong> Education for <strong>the</strong> provision<br />

<strong>of</strong> NC(V) at o<strong>the</strong>r correctional centres in <strong>the</strong> country namely Waterval Management Area (Ekuseni Youth Centre) in<br />

KZN and at Rustenburg Management Area (Rustenburg Youth Centre) in <strong>the</strong> Limpopo / Mpumalanga / North West<br />

Region.<br />

Procedures for Production Workshops<br />

as well as Agriculture was<br />
