Subgroup Identification and Sample SizesStatistics presented in Chapter III and this Appendix are reported for all beneficiaries,and for several subgroups: DI-only beneficiaries, SSI-only beneficiaries, concurrentbeneficiaries, TTW participants, and beneficiaries who indicated at <strong>the</strong> time <strong>of</strong> interview that<strong>the</strong>y were employed. A respondent’s Social Security program status is based onadministrative data, and reflects <strong>the</strong> status at <strong>the</strong> time <strong>the</strong> sample was drawn (June 2003).The TTW participant subgroup comprises respondents who were Phase 1 beneficiaries andmembers <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> June 2003 TTW Participant sampling frame. These respondents arecombined with those in <strong>the</strong> Representative Beneficiary Sample for purposes <strong>of</strong> computing<strong>the</strong> statistics for all groups except TTW participants. A combined sample weight was usedwhen pooling <strong>the</strong> <strong>Ticket</strong> Participant and Representative Beneficiary Samples. Table C.6shows <strong>the</strong> weighted and unweighted sample sizes for <strong>the</strong> full sample and <strong>the</strong> subgroups forwhich statistics are reported.2.
