R. Medical Dental Fund - #520Overview:The Medical Dental Fund provides used to account for the resources from all operatingfunds for use in making contractually obligated health insurance premium payments.However, beginning in 2009, this fund will only account for resources associated withthe City's self insured dental plan. The City insures all medical, vision and life throughthe Association of Washington Cities (AWC).For 2009, this fund begins the year with a $45,000 cash balance. In 2009 and 2010,dental contributions are estimated to be $83,000 in each yearRevenues:All resources of the Medical Dental Fund come in the form of transfers from other funds.For 2009 and 2010, combined transfers total $83,000 in each year from the City’soperating departments for dental insurance.Appropriations:In 2009, combined dental premiums total $87,000 while in 2010, combined dentalpremiums total $89,000.114
