<strong>M6</strong> GROUP PRESENTATION Audiovisual production• Invest 15% of net annual revenue for <strong>the</strong> previous year in <strong>the</strong> production of European audiovisualworks or original French language works, at least 11% of which must be invested in heritage workswhich are defined as works relating <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> following categories: drama, animation, creative<strong>document</strong>aries, including those which are broadcast within a programme o<strong>the</strong>r than a newscast orentertainment programme, music videos and broadcasting or re-enactment of live shows.• European works which are not original French language works must be eligible for <strong>the</strong> industry’ssupport programmes and cannot represent more than 10% of <strong>the</strong> investment in heritage works.• 9% of revenue must be invested in productions deemed independent. A production company isconsidered as independent from <strong>M6</strong> as long as <strong>M6</strong> does not directly or indirectly hold more than15% of <strong>the</strong> share capital or voting rights in that company.• 66% of <strong>the</strong> contribution <strong>to</strong> audiovisual production must be invested in European works or in neworiginal French language works.• At least 1% of <strong>the</strong> previous year’s net annual revenue must be invested in <strong>the</strong> production of originalFrench language and European animation works, of which 0.67% must be invested in worksproduced by independent producers as defined above. Investments in animation works which arenot specifically directed at children may be included in this. Cinema<strong>to</strong>graphic production• To invest at least 3.2% of its annual revenue in <strong>the</strong> development of <strong>the</strong> production of Europeancinema<strong>to</strong>graphic works, of which 2.5% must be dedicated <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> development of original Frenchlanguage cinema<strong>to</strong>graphic works, of which 75% must be dedicated <strong>to</strong> cinema<strong>to</strong>graphic works thatare independently produced. Broadcasting obligations• To annually broadcast 120 hours of European works or of new original French language works witha starting broadcast time of between 8pm and 9pm (including 25% of repeats).• In any 24 hour period, a minimum of 40% of audiovisual works broadcast must be original Frenchlanguage, and 60% must be European, and <strong>the</strong> same requirements apply <strong>to</strong> peak viewing periodsbetween 6pm and 11pm every day and between 2pm and 6pm on Wednesdays.• To broadcast no more than 192 hours of cinema<strong>to</strong>graphic works during <strong>the</strong> year, of which 144hours must be during peak viewing period from 8.30pm <strong>to</strong> 10.30pm. Cinema<strong>to</strong>graphic works mustcomply with <strong>the</strong> broadcasting quotas throughout <strong>the</strong> day and for peak viewing hours, i.e. 60% ofEuropean work and 40% of original French language works origin.• To broadcast, as an annual average, between 4pm and midnight, 80% of programmes in highdefinition in <strong>2012</strong>. Musical programming obligations- Broadcast a minimum of 20% of musical programming per 24-hour period, in particular between4pm and midnight;- At least 50% of <strong>the</strong> music broadcast during <strong>the</strong>se programmes must be original French work;- Prebuy and broadcast 100 music videos dedicated <strong>to</strong> French language artists, of which 70 musicvideos had <strong>to</strong> be dedicated <strong>to</strong> new talent;- Invest €21.34 million in musical programming.44 - <strong>M6</strong> GROUP - <strong>2012</strong> REGISTRATION DOCUMENT
