Serving as academic advisors, facultymembers encourage and help individual students attaintheir professional teaching goals. Small, student-centeredclasses and a variety of field experiences are offered infive specialized curricula in professional education: earlychildhood education, elementary education, environmentaleducation, modern languages, and secondary education.Each curriculum is designed to meet the graduationrequirements of the university, the certification requirementsof the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the accreditationstandards of professional groups such as the NationalCouncil for the Accreditation of Teacher Education.College of Educationand Human Services
