(PHENSA).Nursing students can fulfill requirements of the lowerdivision (freshman and sophomore years) by means of thefollowing:1. Transferring or validating knowledge equivalent to 30nursing credits from an associate degree or diplomaprogram (see 4 below).2. Transferring the required general educationcredits from any accredited college or successfullycompleting the approved challenge exams. Theaccepted scores for credit will be determined byuniversity policy.Admission Policies for Entrance1. Graduate from either an associate degree or diplomaprogram in nursing.2. Hold current licensure as an RN.3. Show evidence of scholarship as demonstrated by 2.5QPA (on a 4.0 system), or a comparable equivalentof a C-plus in previous educational program.4. Successfully complete the pre-entry lower-divisionrequirements as mentioned above.Individuals may be admitted to the B.S.N. completionprogram on a conditional basis while in the process ofcompleting the above requirements. Admission into theBachelor of Science in Nursing program is competitive. Anapplicant meeting all of the program admission requirementsis not guaranteed admission into the program.Articulation PolicyRegistered nurses who have graduated within three yearsfrom an NLNAC-accredited nursing program are eligiblefor direct articulation into <strong>Clarion</strong>’s B.S.N. completionprogram. Individuals who have graduated between threeand 10 years prior to application must have 1,000 hoursof nursing practice within the last three years for directarticulation. Upon receiptof the degree, the graduate is recommended for certificationas a school nurse in all grades of the Pennsylvania publicschools.
