This organization attempts to further the student’sknowledge of and involvement with theatre. Members competein persuasive, informative, humorous, extemporaneous, andimpromptu speaking as well as oral interpretation. Debatersargue various topics and compete in parliamentary andpolicy debate. Members of the Speech and Debate Team cancompete in on-campus events, public debates, and travel toregional and national tournaments hosted by other collegesand universities.Parking and AutomobileRegulationsAll provisions of the Vehicle Code of the Commonwealthof Pennsylvania as supplemented by parking regulationsissued by the chancellor, Pennsylvania State System ofHigher Education, and <strong>Clarion</strong> <strong>University</strong>, will be strictlyenforced on the <strong>Clarion</strong> <strong>University</strong> Campus. Authority forsuch enforcement rests with the director of Public Safety.People who fail to pay fines will be reported to the districtmagistrate, and, upon conviction will be subject to penaltiesprovided by law.All people who possess, maintain, or operate a motorvehicle on campus are required to register the vehicle withthe Department of Public Safety. Registering a vehicle doesnot guarantee a parking space.1. People qualifying for campus parking privilegeswill be issued a tag indicating the privilege has beengranted and assigned to a specific parking area.2. Any person who intends to operate a vehicle on campusafter the date on which permits are required mustregister the vehicle within 24 hours with the Office ofthe Director of Public Safety. Motor vehicles must beregistered even when their use is intermittent ratherthan regular.
