They mayalso take Web-based courses. Classes completed as a JumpStart student count toward a degree program whether thestudent continues at <strong>Clarion</strong> <strong>University</strong> after high schoolgraduation or transfers to another college or university.ObjectivesThe <strong>Clarion</strong> <strong>University</strong>–Venango Campus earlyadmission program is designed to admit selected high schooland home-schooled students on a part-time or full-time basisfor summer, fall and/or spring. The program’s goals are:• to provide academically talented high school studentswith an opportunity for course work of a greater scopeand depth than is offered by their high school courses.• to present selected students with an opportunity toexperience college work prior to graduation from highschool.• to earn college credits while in high school that canbe used toward a <strong>Clarion</strong> <strong>University</strong> degree or betransferred to other colleges and universities.Requirement for AdmissionFor current high school and home school studentsto matriculate through the <strong>Clarion</strong> <strong>University</strong>–VenangoCampus Jump Start Program, the following requirementsmust be met:1.
