NCOES (all phases) for their next promotion will retain their qualification. Those selected to enter AGR tours whohave started any portion of their required RC–NCOES course may complete it <strong>and</strong> will be fully qualified uponcompletion. For example, a SSG who completed RC–ANCOC while in IDT status <strong>and</strong> entered the AGR program maybe promoted to SFC under this provision when selected by a SFC promotion board in AGR status <strong>and</strong> assigned to aSFC position. When considered <strong>and</strong> selected for their next promotion, they must attend the course, <strong>and</strong> in the mannerprescribed for their grade <strong>and</strong> duty status (AGR must attend AC or TATS–C courses). They are fully NCOES qualifiedfor promotion to MSG based on that course when selected by a MSG promotion board in AGR status <strong>and</strong> assigned to aMSG (this includes 1SG) position.e. SGT through SFC who does not have credit for NCOES prescribed for their current grade as shown in 7–23bcannot be considered for promotion until all NCOES training requirement for the current grade are met. This provisionis waivable only in accordance with paragraphs 1–27c <strong>and</strong> d.f. Recruiting <strong>and</strong> Retention NCOs (CMF 79) on AGR status—(1) Who are SGTs with SQI 4, are selected for promotion <strong>and</strong> NCOES training <strong>and</strong> do not have credit for a BNCOCwill attend all phases of BNCOC in their PMOS (either TATS–C or AC).(2) Who are SSGs with SQI 4, are selected for promotion <strong>and</strong> training, <strong>and</strong> do not have credit for ANCOC willattend ANCOC for CMF 79 at the National Guard Professional Education Center NCO Academy, provided they areselected for career status.(3) Who are SFC <strong>and</strong> who do not have credit for ANCOC will attend Phase II ANCOC at the National GuardProfessional Education Center NCO Academy.g. AGR Non-Career Recruiting <strong>and</strong> Retention NCOs identified with SQI 4 will attend AC–BNCOC <strong>and</strong> AC–AN-COC (or TATS–C courses) in their primary MOSs.7–24. Courses creditable for the Noncommissioned Officers Education SystemPersonnel officers will determine credit for NCOES courses from the following list or credited in paragraph 7–33.Completion by subcourse is not acceptable for credit unless the course is a TRADOC approved, multiphase requirementsuch as the Army B<strong>and</strong> NCOES <strong>and</strong> the USASMC, or the <strong>Soldier</strong> completed the course through this means whilein the Active Army <strong>and</strong> was credited with completion while on active duty. The four NCOES levels <strong>and</strong> the courses<strong>and</strong> methods for completing or gaining credit for them are—a. Primary level equivalency:(1) AC– or RC–WLC or TATS–C WLC.(2) AC– or RC–Primary Leadership Course.(3) RC–Primary NCO Course/Basic NCO Course (prior to 1985).(4) USMC NCO Course.(5) USMC NCO Basic Course.(6) USMC Leadership Course or USMC NCO Leadership.(7) USMC Staff NCO Advance Course (taught at Quantico, VA only).(8) USMC Resident Staff NCO Career Course (taught at Quantico, VA only).(9) USMC Infantry Squad Leader Courses (taught at Camp Pendleton only). The Squad Leader Courses taught atMarine Corp Divisions do not meet WLC POI equivalency requirements.(10) USMC Sergeants Course.(11) RC BNCOC (must have completed all phases) or RC ANCOC (Phase 1, Common Core).(12) OCS (AC/RC any service).(13) Officer Basic Course (from any service).(14) Officer Advanced Course (any service).(15) CAS3 (or equivalent course from any service).(16) Comm<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> General Staff Officer’s Course (or equivalent course from any service).(17) ROTC Advanced Camp (any service).(18) WOCS (AC/RC Army or USMC WOCS).b. Basic-level equivalency (currently no U.S. Air Force, Navy or Marine Corp courses will be recognized for basiclevel equivalency):(1) AC– or RC–Basic NCO Course, or TATS–C BNCOC.(2) Basic Technical Course.(3) CMF 18 qualification course plus WLC.c.
