defrosted database stateA defrosted database state is the state applied to a database that has beenrestored to the archive directory after the Administrator runs the LMArchiveutility to notify CA Enterprise Log Manager that it has been restored. Defrosteddatabases are retained for the number of hours configured for the Export Policy. You can query for event logs in databases that are in the hot, warm, anddefrosted states.defrostingdelegation policydirect log collectiondynamic user groupDefrosting is the process of changing the state of a database from cold todefrosted. This process is performed by CA Enterprise Log Manager when notifiedby the LMArchive utility that a known cold database has been restored. (If thecold database is not restored to its original CA Enterprise Log Manager, theLMArchive utility is not used and defrosting is not required; recataloging adds therestored database as a warm database.)A delegation policy is an access policy that lets a user delegate their authority toanother user, application group, global group, or dynamic group. You mustexplicitly delete the delegation policies created by the deleted or disabled user.Direct log collection is the log collection technique where there is no intermediateagent between the event source and the CA Enterprise Log Manager software.A dynamic user group is composed of global users that share one or morecommon attributes. A dynamic user group is created through a special dynamicuser group policy where the resource name is the dynamic user group name andmembership is based on a set of filters configured on user and group attributes.dynamic values processA dynamic values process is a CA IT PAM process that you can invoke to populateor update the values list for a selected key that is used in reports or alerts. Youprovide the path to the Dynamic Values Process as part of IT PAM configurationon the Report Server Service List under the Administration tab. You click ImportDynamic Values list on the Values section associated with Key Values on thissame UI page. Invoking the dynamic values process is one of three ways you canadd values to your keys.EEM UserThe EEM User, configured in the Auto-Archiving section of the Event Log Store, specifies the user who can perform an archive query, recatalog the archivedatabase, run the LMArchive utility, and run the restore-ca-elm shell script torestore archive databases for examination.
