Installation TroubleshootingRegister <strong>CA</strong> <strong>Enterprise</strong> <strong>Log</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> Server with the <strong>CA</strong> EEM ServerSymptom:During installation, the <strong>CA</strong> <strong>Enterprise</strong> <strong>Log</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> application did not registersuccessfully with the <strong>CA</strong> EEM server. The <strong>CA</strong> <strong>Enterprise</strong> <strong>Log</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> applicationdepends on the <strong>CA</strong> EEM server for the management of user accounts and serviceconfigurations. If the <strong>CA</strong> <strong>Enterprise</strong> <strong>Log</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> application is not registered,the software will not run properly.The shell script mentioned in the procedure that follows is automatically copiedto the named directory during installation.Solution:Register the <strong>CA</strong> <strong>Enterprise</strong> <strong>Log</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> application with the <strong>CA</strong> EEM servermanually.To register the <strong>CA</strong> <strong>Enterprise</strong> <strong>Log</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> application1. Access a command prompt on the <strong>CA</strong> <strong>Enterprise</strong> <strong>Log</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> server.2. <strong>Log</strong> in with the caelmadmin account credentials.3. Switch users to the root user with the following command:su -4. Navigate to the directory, /opt/<strong>CA</strong>/<strong>Log</strong><strong>Manager</strong>/EEM.5.
