EXALTED • SOL INVICTUSis in effect, the disguise is perfect; all observers willsee the disguise as the Solar’s true face, and if thedisguise is intended to imitate another individual, anyone who sees the Solar will see him as theimitated individual. At any time while this Charm is active, the Solar mayalter his disguise and replace it with a new one byspending five minutes to craft a new appearance.ABYSSAL IMPERSONATION STYLECost: 15 motes, 1 WillpowerDuration: One dayType: SimpleMinimum Larceny: 5Minimum Essence: 4Prerequisite Charms: Perfect MirrorBy clouding her anima with the Essence of herown inevitable death, a Solar can shift her animadisplay to resemble a deathknight, the posessersof the Black Exaltation. While this Charm is ineffect, the Solar’s anima banner and caste markdisplay as if she were of the equivalent Abyssalcaste (Dawn becomes Dusk, and so on.) Her animaability remains that of her real caste, however. When this Charm is activated, the character mustselect whether to become inhumanly beautifulor repulsive; while it is active, her Appearance iseither reduced or increased to the minimum ormaximum, respectively, specified in Exalted: theAbyssals. Midnight caste Abyssals with a PermanentEssence greater than the character’s will see theSolar’s genuine banner, rather than the false one.ANIMA-MASKING KATACost: 15 motes, 1 Willpower, 1 lethal healthlevelDuration: One dayType: SimpleMinimum Larceny: 6Minimum Essence: 6Prerequisite Charms: Abyssal ImpersonationStyleWith subtle manipulations of the Essenceflowing through her body, the Solar can alter theappearance of her anima banner in a variety of ways.Using this Charm, the character crafts her animainto a temporary new shape, altering its appearanceand characteristics. If the character wishes only toalter the icon displayed, the color scheme of theanima banner, or which Solar caste her caste markrepresents, she may do so automatically, withouta roll. Altering her anima to resemble a differenttype of Exalt requires a successful Intelligence +Larceny roll at difficulty 3. Finally, the charactermay double the minimum mote expenditures forthe levels of anima banner display with a successfulroll against difficulty 5. Whichever effect is selected,it lasts for the remainder of the day. As withAbyssal Impersonation Style, this Charm does notalter the character’s anima power, only the banner’sappearance.STEALTHPHILOSOPHYSolar Stealth is straightforward and to-the-point,providing useful effects in a fairly small tree. Aswith many Solar abilities, the Charms for Stealthfocus heavily on the core elements of the ability— in this case, not being seen or heard. Those whichvary from this basic task do so primarily in wayswhich support the standard roles of the Night caste— performing secretive actions, remaining safe fromcombatants, or covering one’s tracks. New StealthCharms should follow this lead, either improvingthe ability to hide directly or detouring slightly intoother related fields of deceit and trickery.ABYSSAL EQUIVALENTSThe Abyssal Stealth Charms suggest a variety ofdirections to expand Solar Stealth. Abyssals gainaccess to a limited Stealth dice adder in ShadowCloak Technique, allowing a character to hide140
