Each audience member perceivesthe performance differently, seeing reflected in itone of his own problems — specifically, the mostprevalent problem that shares a connection with thetheme. As the performance continues, the audiencesees it build to a climax in which the solution totheir problems is revealed. As the performanceconcludes, the audience realizes that the correctcourse of action lies before them. Each audiencemember may immediately roll Conviction toregain Willpower, as if he had just received a fullnight’s sleep. In addition, each may now channelConviction on any rolls made while following thecourse of action suggested by the flash of insight.As an alternate use, if the Solar is familiar with aspecific problem that one or more audience membersseek an answer to, she may select a specific insightto grant. This need not be a legitimate insight; it maybe a dead end or a purposely destructive “solution.”In this case, the Solar must roll Manipulation +Performance; only those with a Permanent Essenceless than the number of successes rolled by the Solarare affected by the Charm. TheSolar crafts an exquisite performance which focuseson either a specific skill (for example, thievery) ora specific task (for example, deposing the crueltyrant of one’s home city.) In the former case, theSolar should identify a skill which is as broad asa single Ability, or narrower; in the latter case, heshould pick a task with an unambiguous definitionand a clearcut definition of success. In either case,the Solar’s performance thematically highlights theselected skill or task, symbolically demonstratingit and infusing the demonstration with incrediblepower. Those who observe the performance will findthemselves energized and empowered by it; uponleaving, they will find themselves excelling in thetask at hand.
