Minor in Sociology<br />

The sociology minor allows students to study a diverse group <strong>of</strong> topics from social inequalities to issues regarding families,<br />

education, politics, the economy and religion. Students will be able to explore courses relevant to their interests. Courses are also<br />

<strong>of</strong>fered that investigate American society’s role within a greater global context. Upon completion <strong>of</strong> the minor, students will be able<br />

to critically analyze contemporary social problems from a theoretical and practical level. The minor requires a minimum <strong>of</strong> 18 credits<br />

including Introduction to Sociology, Social Problems, and Social Theory. Students will be able to choose a set <strong>of</strong> courses based on<br />

their major or interests.<br />
