Management: Business Management (Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Studies)<br />

This specialization combines a comprehensive range <strong>of</strong> business courses that prepares students for entry-level management<br />

employment. This curriculum includes a strong emphasis in modern management theory and application. The program is designed<br />

for students to enter the workforce immediately after graduation or continue with their studies at the graduate level.<br />

Goals:<br />

• Prepare students for entry level management positions either in public, private, or government related employment settings;<br />

and<br />

• Prepare students for advanced studies in business, primarily a master <strong>of</strong> business administration degree.<br />

Special Features:<br />

The Business Management specialization allows students to experience management practices through internships. Internships are<br />

arranged through the business internship coordinator and may include a Disney internship experience. Students must meet minimal<br />

criteria before a placement is complete.<br />

Program Requirements:<br />

In order for students to be eligible for BU 481 Business Internship and BU 495 Senior Capstone they must have successfully<br />

completed a minimum <strong>of</strong> 90 credit hours, have a minimum G.P.A. <strong>of</strong> 2.5 in both their general studies and major core and<br />

permission <strong>of</strong> the program director.<br />
