Almanların en prestijli markalarından BMW’nin Bavyera merkezli olduğunu
her otomobil meraklısı bilir. BMW’nin otomobillerden önce
uçak motorları veya motosikletler ürettiğini de… Ancak çok az kişi
ilk BMW modellerinin İngiliz markalardan türetildiğini bilmez ya da
bu gerçeği görmek istemez. Belki de bu yüzden BMW, geçtiğimiz
günlerde kutladığı 100’üncü yaş gününde geçmişinden ziyade geleceğe
odaklanmak istedi ve BMW Vision Next 100 isimli konsept aracı
sergileyerek bundan sonra neler yapacaklarını anlatmayı tercih etti.
Ne olursa olsun, bu yazıda geçmişe bakmadan geleceğe ilerlemek
istemiyoruz. İlk BMW otomobili, bir Austin Seven klonu olarak 1928
yılında yollara çıkan Dixi’dir. 1932 yılına kadar sürecek lisans anlaşması
boyunca Dixi 3/15 modelini
üreten BMW, sonrasında kendi çapında
geliştirmeler yaparak yoluna devam etti.
Tarihler 1933’ü gösterdiğinde 303 modelini
tanıtan BMW, bugün halen kullanılan
ve markanın simgelerinden ikisi, sıralı 6
silindirli motor ve böbrek (Kidney Grille)
formundaki radyatör ızgarasını da gün
Dixi
yüzüne çıkartmış oldu. 303 baz alınarak

Almost every car enthusiast knows Germany’s prestigious car
manufacturer BMW is from Bavaria and they actually produced plane
engines and motorcycles before cars…On the contrary, many people
are not aware of the fact that BMW’s original designs carry traces of
British classics or these people try to ignore it instead. Maybe this
was the reason why BMW chose to focus on its future other than its
past on the 100th birthday celebration and introduced BMW Vision
Next 100. Whichever side you choose; this article has to give certain
information about BMW’s past.
The very first BMW, Dixi, was actually a copy of an Austin Seven
and was produced in 1928. Until 1932, BMW kept producing Dixi
3/15 and dealt with trademark and
brand name. In 1933, they introduced
303 which carried BMW’s two iconic
signatures we still see today. Kidney
Grille and V6 engines. Based on 303,
different variations were also introduced
later on as 3-Series. But one of the
