MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF ALUMINUM/SPHERIGLASS MATERIALS FILLED MODIFIED<br />

AND UNMODIFIED EPOXY MATRIX<br />

The mechanical properties <strong>of</strong> the materials were studied us<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> SHIMAZDU universal <strong>test<strong>in</strong>g</strong><br />

mach<strong>in</strong>e.<br />

The flexural specimen <strong>of</strong> dimension 80mm × 25mm with thickness <strong>of</strong> 3mm was prepared from each<br />

cast<strong>in</strong>g. Flexural strength, flexural modulus were studied <strong>in</strong> the universal <strong>test<strong>in</strong>g</strong> mach<strong>in</strong>e. The flexural<br />

test was carried at the crosshead speed <strong>of</strong> 3mm/m<strong>in</strong>. The flexural test was carried accord<strong>in</strong>g to ASTM D<br />

790 standards.<br />

The Samples A, B, D and pure epoxy res<strong>in</strong> were prepared without post cur<strong>in</strong>g<br />
