higher than that of pristine PVC. The glass transition temperature of both the composites was also slightly higher than pristine PVC. Further the onset degradation temperature of PVC/nano-CaCO3 composites was marginally higher than microcomposites and pristine PVC. Thus this study shows that there is poor interaction between PVC and the nano-CaCO3 filler. There is a need to modify interaction between PVC and nano-CaCO3.
