241 The metre in the cadence is very wrong here and there is either a scribal error, or a fault of the<br />

transmission of the verse.<br />

242 Replacement of two light syllables by one heavy one has taken place at the 6th here. The Pāḷi<br />

verse has the same phenomenon.<br />

243 Text reads: gacchati. Cone’s note reads: ccha is repeated by mistake at the beginning of<br />

the line, 13 A ii.
