Cite cases by name of the parties [first plaintiff <strong>and</strong> defendant only, separated by “v”]<br />

first page of the case, <strong>and</strong> page referenced.<br />

Where appropriate the author(s) of the judgment may be identified in parentheses after the page<br />

number. Cite the year in square brackets instead of parentheses if the case appears in a report in<br />

which volumes are organized by year. When available, citations should be made <strong>to</strong> the <strong>New</strong><br />

Zeal<strong>and</strong> Law Reports (NZLR):<br />
