Cite cases by the parties’ names [plaintiff’s <strong>and</strong> defendant’s last name (<strong>and</strong>, optionally, first<br />

initial], separated by “c/” in quotes, the court (including the section, “sala”, if appropriate; for<br />

provincial courts add the name of the province), the name of the report, volume, year, <strong>and</strong> page<br />

referenced. If the volume number contains the year, it need not be repeated:<br />
