Cite codes by article <strong>and</strong> paragraph <strong>and</strong> short or abbreviated title. When cited for the first time,<br />

the code should be cited in full (see Part 2.1) or the full citation should be given in a footnote<br />

The Constitution, federal codes <strong>and</strong> statutes, <strong>and</strong> decrees are published by the federal<br />

administration in German, French <strong>and</strong> Italian in the followings series:<br />

Official Collection of Federal Law: Amtliche Sammlung der Bundesgesetze und Verordnungen (AS) Systematic<br />

The can<strong>to</strong>nal statutes are available in the can<strong>to</strong>nal state offices (Staatskanzlei). The can<strong>to</strong>ns <strong>and</strong><br />

some large municipalities publish their law in their own collections, <strong>and</strong> most can be found<br />
