Laws and decrees are published in the official gazette, the Journal Officiel de la République
francaise (abbreviated “J.O.”). Cite laws and decrees published in the official gazette by the
above standard, followed by “J.O. du” and date of the gazette, and page referenced:

Cite codes by “Art.” and article number, followed by abbreviated title of the code. A letter may
