Part Two:<br />

Includes expenses of accommodation in hotels and camps during the month of the survey for<br />

lodging purposes (not as summer and winter resorts).<br />

Expenses of each household me<strong>mb</strong>er are recorded separately by using points enumerated in<br />

auxiliary form (C), where the reference nu<strong>mb</strong>er of the person, who made the expenses, is<br />

recorded according the nu<strong>mb</strong>er of the individual mentioned in the basic information item.<br />

Table (12): Other consumption aspects<br />

12.1. Value of personal effects received by the household during the year ended by the end of<br />

the month of the survey. This includes the following:<br />

Watches, eyeglasses, bags, gold and accessories, notions, and other tools such as pens<br />

and desk set, as well as maintenance value of personal effects provided in the table.<br />

Gold and jewelry for the wife or the sons living with the household are recorded<br />

in this table<br />

Gold and jewelry offered as a marriage gift to a non-resident individual are<br />

recorded in table (13) under marriage gift item since its value is not considered<br />

a consumption expenditure.<br />

Gold and jewelry offered to a non-resident individual, either relatives or not, are<br />

recorded in table (13) under gifts item.<br />

Since this is not a consumption expenditure, and if the household was selected for<br />

survey, the value of the gift is recorded in table (7) related to income, item (3) transfers<br />

from outside Egypt.<br />

12.2. Expenses of personal requirements and accessories<br />

Includes the following:<br />

Value of actual consumption of bathroom soap, shaving and hair dressing for<br />

males and females during the month of the survey.<br />
