dalla Russia sarà permesso, ma in quantità limitate:
fino a 1.140.000 tonnellate metriche tra
il 19 dicembre 2023 e il 31 dicembre 2024 e fino
a 700.000 tonnellate metriche tra il 1° gennaio
2025 e il 31 dicembre 2025.
Il volume d’importazione consentito non soggetto
a sanzione per il 2024 rappresenta il 97%
delle quantità di ghise in pani (tutte le qualità
destinate sia al settore siderurgico sia a quello
delle fonderie) importate dalla Russia in UE27
nel 2022 (1.172.000 tonnellate), di cui l’82% è
stato acquistato dall’Italia; mentre per il 2025
le importazioni consentite si ridurranno al 60%
dei volumi importati nel 2022.
Al momento è prematuro conoscere e misurare
le conseguenze che tale contingentamento
avrà sul mercato delle ghise in pani, anche
se generalmente questi strumenti di politica
commerciale producono impatti sia in termini
di cambiamento dei flussi commerciali sia naturalmente
sulle quotazioni internazionali della
materia prima gravata dal provvedimento.
Anche se sarà possibile beneficiare di un periodo
transitorio in cui le importazioni dalla Russia
saranno ancora permesse, è possibile che
già dal 2024 tutti i Paesi dell’Unione Europea,

The permitted non-sanctioned import volume
for 2024 represents 97% of the quantities of
pig iron (all grades intended for both the steel
and foundry sectors) imported from Russia to
the EU27 in 2022 (1,172,000 tonnes), of which
82% was purchased from Italy; while for 2025
the permitted imports will be reduced to 60%
of the volumes imported in 2022.
At the moment it is too early to know and
measure the consequences that this quota
will have on the pig iron market, even if generally
these commercial policy instruments
have an impact both in terms of changes in
trade flows and of course on the international
prices of the raw material burdened by the
measure.
Although it will be possible to benefit from
a transitional period in which imports from
Russia will still be allowed, it is possible that
as early as 2024 all European Union countries,
but in particular Italy, will have to work
to re-evaluate their procurement policies for
this raw material and move away from de-
