A conference call meeting was conducted in January with the TRP members to discuss the work plan. Anticipated Work Next Quarter: 1. Completion of the complex modulus tests. 2. Completion of the fracture tests at a different temperature and conduct fracture tests using DC(T). 3. Preparation for the push-pull fatigue tests and performing the tests at two different temperatures. 4. Arrange another conference call meeting to update TRP members with the progress in the project. 5. Write the final report. Function/ Task 2: Encourage and support the submission of innovative transportation research ideas and proposals to meet the State of Illinois' and IDOT's research and technology transfer needs. Function/ Task 3: Identify or recruit researchers at the University of Illinois and/or partner universities, private consultants, etc., to perform desired transportation research. Function/ Task 4: Work with Univ. of IL offices, as needed, to set up IDOT/ICT research projects, accounts, subawards, consulting contracts; pay researchers salary & expenses; and secure timely IDOT reimbursement for expenses. Function/ Task 5: Provide regular progress reports to the ICT Executive Committee and IDOT management on research projects, funds, issues, etc. Function/ Task 6: Provide education and outreach regarding ICT research, findings, conclusions, achievements, etc. Function/ Task 7: Provide administrative support for the ICT Technical Review Committees, as requested. Function/ Task 8: Description of Main Work Accomplished in this Quarter: During the January - March 2012 quarter: ICT Director Al-Qadi provided management oversight for the Illinois Center for Transportation (ICT). Deputy Director Andrea Ruedi assisted with the management of ICT and its administrative functions. Dave King and Lori Carpenter provided administrative support for the Director, Deputy Director, the TRPs, researchers, and the research projects, including: - scheduled and participated in monthly ICT Administration meetings; - drafted minutes for the monthly ICT Administration meetings, and TRP meetings, as requested; - solicited research ideas and proposals/ workplans, via e-mail and/or RFPs, as appropriate; - set up newly-approved ICT research projects, reviewed and approved ICT project budgets, established spending accounts, requested subawards and subcontracts, approved subawardee invoices, etc.; - solicited online project updates from researchers and provided monthly and quarterly project progress reports to IDOT; -identified and addressed problems with various ICT projects, subawards, etc;
