Progress & Significant Results This Quarter:
Task 1: Literature Review:

Task 2: Experimental Program Development:

Task 3: Lab Testing:
-Mixture level tests were conducted for Lime Dry and Wet techniques.
-Mixture level tests were conducted for all plant mixes.
-No correlation was identified between the results of lab and plant mixes. This could be due to insufficient aging of lab mixes. Further evaluation of
the causes will be investigated.
Task 4: Construction & ATLAS Testing:
Foamed N90 and Foamed N90 with liquid antistrip sections are still being tested under accelerated testing (using ATLAS). 240,000 cycles were
completed on the foamed section without significant rutting, while the total number of cycles applied on the foamed with liquid antistrip section is
currently at 160,000 cycles; rutting started to appear.
Task 5: Final <strong>Report</strong>
First draft of lab report is ready and edited.
Anticipated Work Next Quarter:
Task 3: Lab Testing:
-Complete tests of N90 mixes.
-Run DSR and adhesion tests on the mixture binder.
-Extraction of N90 cored control mix samples
Task 4: Construction & ATLAS Testing:
-Continue running ATLAS over the foamed with liquid antistrip section until significant rutting is measured. Then moving ATLAS to the liquid
antistrip and lime sections.
Project Impediments & Recommended Solutions:
Task 4: Construction & ATLAS Testing:
The main imedipemt is the high unexpected number of loading cycles of test sections to obtain significant rutting. This could cause an unavoidable
delay in the project delivery.
