The potential errors will then be verified by human observers. The sensors will be installed at an existing test bed in Rantoul that has been used for evaluation of other sensors. The RR site is in Chicago area. <strong>Quarterly</strong> Progress <strong>Report</strong> 7/26/2010 - Yes 9/14/2010 - Yes 11/4/2010 - Yes 2/8/2011 - Yes 2/15/2012 - Yes Progress & Significant Results This Quarter: A report was prepared and sent to TRP for review. The report contains the findings for the "normal" weather conditions. Data reduction for adverse weather conditions has begun. A meeting with the project TRP was held on Feb 15, 2012. Anticipated Work Next Quarter: Continue data collection for inclement weather conditions (fog, rain, and thunderstorm). Analyze the data for snow conditions. Preparation for data collection at railroad crossing in Chicago area will continue. At the RR site the installation and pre-testing is near completion. Project Impediments & Recommended Solutions: The installation at the RR crossing in Hinsdale (Chicago area) has not progressed as fast as we had planned for. The installation is done by a consulting firm and is not a part of this study. So we have no control over it. We are told (by ICC staff)that the installation and testing by the concultant should be over by July. After that we can began collecting data.
