The subset of data has additional soil information that may be useful to the overall analysis. Hydraulic and/or cross section information was requested and received for the selected sites. Progress has been made on the updating of hydraulic modeling. Anticipated Work Next Quarter: The Qu - Rimac analysis, and Zmax equation sensitivity analysis will be completed. Hydraulic modeling (and/or updates) will be nearly completed on any sites with existing information. Metallographic studies will be performed to investigate the microstructure in the as-received condition. Then the steels in thicknesses from 1/8 to 3/8-inch will be bend tested for ductility to evaluate their resistance to cracking or other surface irregularities during a continuous bend. The specimens after bend tests will be carefully analyzed, and the data will be related to the mechanical properties and microstructure of steels. The results will be reported to ICT. The steel was sent to ArcelorMittal Global R&D Center where it was hot rolled to seven different thicknesses ranging from 0.1 to o.375 inch. Then it was sent to Northwestern University. 80
