En este caso fue el 21de junio del año 2007, cuando el Gobierno provincial presentó San LuisDigital (SLD), un plan a 20 años para que los habitantes del distrito ingresende forma activa en la sociedad de la información y del conocimiento.La Universidad de La Punta (ULP) es la ejecutora del plan, que busca utilizaren forma plena todas las posibilidades que ofrece la Autopista dela Información (AUI), construida por la Provincia entre 2001 y 2004. Estainfraestructura permite ofrecer conexión gratuita a Internet en formainalámbrica en todo el territorio habitado del Estado cuyano.La meta fundamental del plan es la inclusión digital de todos los habitantesde la provincia. Los cimientos son esta red de comunicación únicaen el país y la capacitación de toda la población en el uso y la interaccióncon las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación.El proyecto apunta al mediano plazo, a través de la enseñanza y el aprendizajede tecnología para docentes y jóvenes. In this case it was the 21st of June 2007 whenthe Government of San Luis presented San Luis digital (SLD), a 20 years plan for local people toactively enter into the information and knowledge society.La Punta University (ULP for its Spanish name Universidad de La Punta) is in charge of carryingout the plan, which tries to take full advantage of the possibilities offered by the InformationHighways (AUI for its name in Spanish Autopista de la Información), built by the provincebetween 2001 and 2004. This infrastructure gives the possibility of providing free internet wi-ficonnection throughout the whole provincial territory.The main goal of the plan is the digital inclusion of all the inhabitants of the province. Thefoundations are this unique communication network and the training of the whole populationin the use and interaction with these information and communication technologies.A mid -term goal is the teaching and learning of technology for students and teachers.
