Y se le nota.“Acompaño el objetivo de desarrollar la competencialaboral”, enfatiza, y cierra, contundente.66 |Of course, not everything within this plan is always linear, perfect and100% positive. After highlighting the good things that he has beenexperiencing so far, since he is in charge of the Center at El Trapiche,he also confesses that he hoped more people would have takenadvantage of this opportunity. “People living in the area have theadvantage of being close to the Center, obtaining a degree, using acomputer and nevertheless, not all of them come. People are not usedto excelling. I’m convinced this has to do with a cultural issue. As theprovince has other supports, people are calm and don’t feel the needto study”, Sinovich complains. The other supports he referred to are linked to different social planssustained by the Government and provided to those people who lacka formal job so that they receive a contribution from the Governmentto fulfill their basic needs. And despite these plans force the beneficiaryto work so as to compensate for the money he receives, this “salary” isnot linked to any incentive to train or finish school: at least, not so far. Then, Sincovich refers to what it means to be in charge of a programthat aims at teaching people of different ages, with different socialconditions and cultural levels, different expectations, and above allteaching with digital tools, that carry in themselves new questions.“When you come to work here, you have to break with traditionalmodels, if you don’t, you cannot work. The inclusion of a digital toolhelps contents to be consolidated, for example with YouTube videos, and videos from the Ministry of Education. Audiovisual issues are verytrendy nowadays. People know how to look for information with thecomputer. While in the traditional model, the idea was to retain information, the new model emphasizes on learning to look for information”,he details. This teacher did not have a hard time breaking the mold because helikes the project and one can easily tell: “I support the objective of developingworking competences”, he emphasizes and firmly concludes. In the process of developing we find Mariana Perez (36), a typical dark
