Bibiana continuó residiendo52 |re that she was the director of a rural school in Piedra Bola, a smalltown located 105 km away from La Punta. When teachers’ trainingcourse began in 2006, she decided to attend the courses during theweekends. At the moment of selection, Bibiana was called and theyoffered her an intensive training course so that she could start workingright away. After the theoretical and practice exam, which shepassed, she was summoned to be in charge of the Center she nowleads at the former Government House. This offering arrived after 8years of working in Piedra Bola. “I immediately accepted because Ihad to leave the school, my children had to go to high school and theonly teacher they knew was me”, she remembers.Bibiana had accepted to become the director of the school in PiedraBola after a series of facts that forced her to move there when her childrenwere still little. “I often came to the area because my husband’sfamily lives there. And then I knew that they needed help at school, because there was a school but no teachers. Therefore, they created aParents Board which fought to get a teacher and meanwhile I taughtkids during the weekends. Later on, they offered me to present a projectto go and work there. At that time, my husband supported mebecause he worked in a tennis shoes company Fitalse, that had closeddown”, she remembers. It was the year 2002 and the Argentinean crisiswas wreaking havocs everywhere.Having a secure job, the family had to move to the rural town. “It wasa huge change for children. During the first three months I went comeand forth from Piedra Bola to the city until October 2002 when mydesignation decree was finally signed and sealed and just then thefamily moved to the town”, she explains.Eight years went by and children started to grow up. The eldest, Rodrigo(16) had to come back to the city 3 years ago to continue his highschool education. And that marked the beginning of another roughmoment in the family’s history. “It was a sacrifice” Bibiana affirms, while she cries. “And when this opportunity arose (the work at the
