TOME1 : Conclusion exergue par les études menées ces dernières années (Boesch et Turner 1984; Dame et Allen 1996; Taylor et al. 1998; Lefeuvre et al. 1999; Weinstein et al. 2000; Parlier 2002; Parlier et Feunteun 2004; Laffaille et al. 2005; Parlier et Feunteun 2005; Parlier et al. 2006). Mais cette fonction de nourricerie ne peut être réellement mise en évidence qu’en validant un certains nombre de critères qui ont été défini par Beck et al. (2001). Le site étudié et suspecté de jouer un rôle de nourricerie doit accueillir de grandes densités de juvéniles, aider survie et la croissance différentielle des jeunes poissons (G0) par la mise à disposition d’espace d’accueil (abris et nourriture) et enfin les individus doivent quitter ces zones pour coloniser de manière préférentielle d’autres sites qui ne sont colonisés qu’à l’âge adulte. Mais il semble nécessaire aujourd’hui de standardiser une méthodologie de validation et de caractérisation de cette fonction primordiale pour le renouvellement des populations de poissons côtiers. Le TOME 2 de ce travail tente de valider un premier protocole (v1) en étudiant le rôle de nourricerie joué par cinq complexes estuaires marais salés intertidaux de la façade ouest de la France vis-à-vis du bar franc (Dicentrarchus labrax a.k.a. Morone labrax). 174
