หัตถศิลป์ในปัจจุบันและอนาคตได้เป็นอย่างดี
ด้วยความที่โครงสร้างของบ้านพักตํารวจนํ้ำนั้น
ไม่สามารถรองรับนํ้ำหนักได้มากเนื่องจาก
อาคารเดิมมีอายุมาก ทําให้นิทรรศการนี้
สามารถรองรับให้คนขึ้นไปเข้าชมได้เพียงรอบละ​
ประมาณ 15 คนเท่านั้น จนทําให้มีคนต้อง​
ต่อคิวรอกันเป็นจํานวนมาก อย่างไรก็ตาม
เป็นข่าวดีที่หลังจากการจัดแสดงภายในงาน
Bangkok Design Week 2020 แล้ว ผลงาน
ชิ้นต่างๆ จะถูกนําไปพัฒนาต่อเป็นนิทรรศการ
หมุนเวียนที่ศูนย์สร้างสรรค์งานออกแบบ
(TCDC) ก่อนที่จะถูกนําไปจัดแสดงต่อที่เมือง
ลิลล์ ประเทศฝรั่งเศส ในโอกาสที่เมืองลิลล์ได้
รับเลือกให้เป็นเมืองหลวงแห่งการออกแบบโลก
(World Design Capital) ประจําปี 2020
พื้นที่สุดท้ายซึ่งถือเป็นไฮไลท์หลักของงาน
Bangkok Design Week ในปีนี้ คือนิทรรศการ​
Hundred Years Between ภายในพื้นที่อาคาร
ศุลกสถาน หรือโรงภาษีร้อยชักสาม (หรือที่
รู้จักเป็นวงกว้างในอีกชื่อว่าสถานีดับเพลิงบางรัก)​
ซึ่งเป็นอาคารรูปแบบ Palladianism อายุ 136 ปี​
ที่ออกแบบโดยสถาปนิกชาวอิตาลี Joachim
Grassi ในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 5 ความน่าสนใจของ
นิทรรศการภาพถ่ายซึ่งจัดขึ้นในวาระครบรอบ
115 ปี ความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่าง
ไทย-นอร์เวย์ พ.ศ. 2563 นี้ คือการที่ผู้เข้าชม
จะได้เข้าไปมีส่วนร่วม “อ่าน” บทสนทนา
ระหว่างท่านผู้หญิงฯ และรัชกาลที่ 5 ซึ่งได้​
เดินทางไปยังสถานที่เดียวกันในระยะเวลาที่
ห่างกันกว่า 100 ปี ผ่านภาพภ่ายของภูมิทัศน์
ที่สะท้อนความเหมือนและต่างของปัจจุบัน
ผ่านภาพบางส่วนจากอัลบั้ม “‘รูปทรงถ่าย
เดือนหนึ่งในนอร์เวย์รัตนโกสินทรศก ๑๒๖” และ​
บางส่วนของเนื้อหาจากพระราชนิพนธ์“ไกลบ้าน”​
ที่แสดงให้เห็นช่วงเวลาของอดีตที่ถูกบันทึกไว้
และผ่านจดหมายจํานวน 4 ฉบับ ที่ท่านผู้หญิงฯ​
เขียนถึงรัชกาลที่ 5 ซึ่งบอกเล่าความสัมพันธ์
ระหว่างอดีตกับปัจจุบัน และระหว่างมนุษย์กับ
ธรรมชาติได้อย่างน่าสนใจ

cannot support much weight, the exhibition
could accommodate only about fifteen
visitors per round, resulting in long
queues. However, the good news is
that after being displayed at Bangkok
Design Week 2020, all the work will be
developed into a traveling exhibition at
Thailand Creative and Design Center
(TCDC) before being displayed in Lille,
France on the occasion of Lille being
designated as a world design capital
in 2020.
The last area, which is the highlight of
Bangkok Design Week 2020, is the
exhibition called ‘Hundred Years Between,’
located on the site of the old Customs
House (also widely known as the Bang Rak
Fire Station). The 136-year-old building
was designed by Italian architect Joachim
Grassi in the Palladian style during the
reign of King Rama V. The interesting
part of this photography exhibition,
which celebrates 115 years of diplomatic
relations between Thailand and Norway,
is that visitors can participate in “reading”
the conversations between Lady
Sirikittiya and King Rama V, who traveled
to the same destination a hundred
years earlier. This is displayed through
photographs of the scenery that reflect
similarities and differences between
the past and the present. Examples of
this comparison include parts of the
album “Royal Photograph, One Month
in Norway, Rattanakosin Era 126,” parts
of the royal writing “Klai-Ban” that
portrays the recorded story of the past,
and four letters that Lady Sirikittiya
wrote to King Rama V, which describe
