เมื่อพิจารณาการมีอยู่ของสถาปัตยกรรมในยุคของการ
ปฏิวัติดิจิทัลซึ่งกลายเป็นปัจจัยหลักของการเปลี่ยนแปลง
ที่รวดเร็วและรุนแรงของยุคสมัย จะว่าไปแล้ว ดิจิทัล​
นับเป็นเทคโนโลยีที่เรียกได้ว่า ไร้ตัวตน แต่สั่นคลอนมนุษย์​

ที่จับต้องได้ในทุกยุคที่ผ่านมา หากใช้สถาปัตยกรรม​
เป็นแกนในการพิจารณา โครงการ True Digital Park
Siam Square Soi 2 ก็นับว่ามีความน่าสนใจไม่น้อย
เนื่องจากผู้ออกแบบมีโจทย์ที่กล่าวถึงการสื่อสาร การ
เชื่อมโยงสถาปัตยกรรมกับผู้คนและเมือง ด้วยความ
ต้องการของบริษัท True ที่จะปรับปรุงพื้นที่ 3 จุดบริเวณ​
สยามสแควร์ คือ สยามสแควร์ซอย 2 สยามสแควร์
ซอย 3 และพื้นที่ใน Digital Gateway เป็นร้านกาแฟ
และร้านค้าสําหรับให้บริการลูกค้า คุณภากร มหพันธ์
สถาปนิกผู้ออกแบบจากบริษัท M Space ได้นําเสนอ
Digital technology is one of the key elements that
greatly changes and transforms our lives. It is an
invisible force that impacts much of our physical
space. The three outlets of True Digital Park Siam
Square Soi 2 are interesting cases of architecture
influenced by the digital era. They are designed to
connect people, architecture, and the city together.
True currently has three outlets in Siam Square
at Soi 2, Soi 3, and Digital Gateway. These three
locations have served as cafes and shops for many
years, and the time came for them to be renovated.
M Space’s Pakorn Mahaphant is the architect
tasked with this renovation project. He proposed
a complete transformation of all three outlets at
once. The key concept is to create a network

1.) True สยามสแควร์ซอย 2 เชื่อมต่อกับถนนพญาไท 1​
และศูนย์การค้า Discovery ซึ่งต่อเนื่องไปยังสยามพารากอน​
และมาบุญครอง ให้เป็นพื้นที่สําหรับคาเฟ่ co-working
space และ exhibition ขนาดเล็กที่เชื่อมโยงกับเทคโนโลยี​
และศิลปวัฒนธรรม ตามแนวการเชื่อมของทางเดินลอยฟ้า​
ที่จะขยายระยะตลอดแนวความยาวถนนพระราม 1 จาก​
สี่แยกปทุมวันต่อไปยังสี่แยกเพลินจิต ความท้าทายในการ
ออกแบบมาจากการเป็นอาคารที่มีประวัติการต่อเติมมา
หลายยุคสมัยตั้งแต่การเริ่มก่อสร้างศูนย์การค้าสยามสแควร์ ​
จนถึงปัจจุบัน โดยขาดการวางแผนอย่างมีระบบ 2.) True​

ของย่านสยามสแควร์ เชื่อมต่อกับจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย​
ปรับให้เป็นคาเฟ่ และ robotic lab สําหรับเป็นพื้นที่
ทํางานขนาดเล็กร่วมกันกับคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ จุฬาฯ
เพื่อให้เป็นพื้นที่ทางการศึกษาและวิจัยที่เน้นหนักไปทาง
ด้าน sustainability 3.) True Digital Gateway ตั้งอยู่บน​
ถนนพระราม 1 ปรับเป็นคาเฟ่ แกลเลอรี และเป็นพื้นที่สื่อ​
ของ True ในการเปิดตัวโครงการ และ Broadcast
รายการต่างๆ
ในการออกแบบอาคาร ผู้ออกแบบให้ความสําคัญกับทั้ง
เงื่อนไขของการก่อสร้าง ความยั่งยืนของสภาพแวดล้อม​
ความสอดคล้องกับวัฒนธรรม และการใช้สอยอาคาร​
แนวคิดทางสถาปัตยกรรมของผู้ออกแบบคือการหาตัวแทน​
ของการสื่อสารที่เชื่อมโยงกับรูปแบบพื้นฐาน ผู้ออกแบบ
จึงนําการสื่อสารด้วย “รหัสมอร์ส” มาใช้ เนื่องจากเป็น​
การสื่อสารด้วยรหัส ปิด-เปิด มาตั้งแต่สมัยรัชกาลที่ 5 ​
โดยรหัสมอร์สได้ถูกพัฒนากลายมาเป็นสัญญาณโทรศัพท์​
ในระบบดิจิทัลในปัจจุบัน แนวคิดของ façade คือการ
ทําให้อาคารหายไปกลายเป็นที่ว่าง และมีรหัสมอร์สเป็น
สัญญาณที่เป็นตัวแทนของระบบอะนาล็อกในอดีตลอยออก​
มาแทน คล้ายกลุ่มหมอกของข้อมูลในอากาศ (cloud)
นอกจากนี้ในการออกแบบ façade นั้น เน้นความเชื่อมโยง​
กับรูปแบบเดิมซึ่งเป็น façade กระจก 2 ชั้น โดยมี
linking the three locations while reflecting the
changing nature of Siam Square. Each outlet houses
its own cafe designed to complement the special
activities offered inside.
True at Siam Square Soi 2, near Rama I Road, is
connected to Siam Discovery which links to Siam
Paragon and MBK Centre. This outlet serves as a
cafe, a co-working space, and a mini exhibition hall
where art and technology coincide. The challenge
for this location is the decades of unsystematic
expansion and renovation done to the building
from the day Siam Square was founded. True at
Siam Square Soi 3 sits at the heart of this outdoor
shopping district and just a few minutes away from
Chulalongkorn University. This location i redesigned
as a cafe and a robotic lab in partnership with the
university’s Faculty of Engineering. This is a learning
and research hub with an emphasis on sustainability.
True Digital Gateway, also near Rama I Road, is a
cafe-cum-gallery with space for product launches
and other live broadcast programs.
Environmental sustainability, cultural context, and
space utilization all play a part in how the new space
is designed. To represent the concept of connectivity,
Morse code is used as a key design and decorative
element. Morse code has been a basic communication
method used in Thailand since the reign of King
Rama V, and it has also formed the foundation of
today’s digital telecommunication. Generally, a
building facade is made with the purpose of making
a building disappear underneath a blank canvas. In
the case of the True Digital Park Siam Square Soi 2
the canvas is printed with line after line of Morse
code that represents an analog communication
system floating in the ‘cloud.’ The new façade is also
designed to be suitable with the original structure
of the building using a double-layered glass façade
which helps reduce energy consumption as it
protects the interior from outside heat and keeps
