Kerngebiet
Fr, 12 - 14 Uhr, A 704
Linguistic morphology deals with the internal structure of words, i.e. with the smallest linguistic
signs (morphemes) and their combination in words. We will be studying inflectional morphology,
i.e. the production of grammatical word-forms, and lexical morphology, i.e. the production of new
lexemes in English. Our focus will be on present-day English but historical aspects of English
morphology will also be discussed.
Literatur: will be in Ilias
