Edit menu<br />

Save (Cmd+S on OS X; Ctrl+S on Windows): This has the same functionality as the<br />

Save button on the toolbar.<br />

Save As (Cmd+Shift+S on OS X; Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows): This is similar to the<br />

Save function, except that it prompts you for a new sketch name, allowing you to<br />

save the current changed version of your sketch without overwriting the original.<br />

Export (Cmd+E on OS X; Ctrl+E on Windows): This has the same functionality as<br />

the Export button on the toolbar.<br />

Export Application (Cmd+Shift+E on OS X; Ctrl+Shift+E on Windows): This allows<br />

you to export your sketch as a st<strong>and</strong>-alone, platform-specific executable application.<br />

Similar to the Export function, Export Application generates an entire directory<br />

structure (in this case, actually three separate directories) with all the required files<br />

to launch an application under Linux, OS X, <strong>and</strong> Windows. This comm<strong>and</strong> also<br />

opens the current sketch directory, revealing the three newly created application<br />

directories (application.linux, application.macosx, <strong>and</strong> application.windows).<br />

Page Setup (Cmd+Shift+P on OS X; Ctrl+Shift+P on Windows): This opens the st<strong>and</strong>ard<br />

Page Setup dialog box to specify printing options. This function has some<br />

known bugs. Please check http://dev.processing.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=435<br />

for bug updates.<br />

Print (Cmd+P on OS X; Ctrl+P on Windows): This prints all the code within the main<br />

tab or the currently selected tab. This function has some known bugs. Please<br />

check http://dev.processing.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=27 <strong>and</strong> http://dev.<br />

processing.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=28 for bug updates, as well as the<br />

<strong>Processing</strong> discourse board, at http://processing.org/discourse/yabb_beta/<br />

YaBB.cgi, for the most current information about <strong>Processing</strong>’s printing capabilities.<br />

Figure 5-5 shows a screenshot of <strong>Processing</strong>’s Edit menu.<br />

The Edit menu contains the following eight comm<strong>and</strong>s:<br />

Undo (Cmd+Z on OS X; Ctrl+Z on Windows): Cancels the previous action, including<br />

any addition or deletion of code within the text editor. To reverse Undo, select Redo.<br />

Redo (Cmd+Y on OS X; Ctrl+Y on Windows): Reverses the last Undo comm<strong>and</strong>,<br />

restoring your sketch to the state immediately prior to selecting Undo.
