number of species in each, as given by Mr. Sharpe in his ex-<br />

ham/phus (3 sp.). Eastern Pacific Islands only ; MonacTialcyon (1<br />

sp.), Celebes ; Caridonax (1 sp.), Lombok and Flores ; Carcineutes<br />

(2 sp.), Siam to Borneo and Java ; Tanysiptera (14 sp.), Moluccas<br />

New Guinea, and North Australia (Plate X. Vol. I. p. 414)<br />
