Et standardiseret design for den teknol<strong>og</strong>iske<br />
indretning af undervisningslokaler hjælper<br />
med at udbrede IKT på campus. Designet tager<br />
udgangspunkt i de pædag<strong>og</strong>iske behov <strong>og</strong> er<br />
skabt i et samarbejde mellem lærerstaben <strong>og</strong> ITafdelingen.<br />
Underviseren skal ikke tilpasse sig forskellige<br />
teknol<strong>og</strong>ier i forskellige lokaler. Teknol<strong>og</strong>ien<br />
skal være den samme, <strong>og</strong> den skal tilpasses<br />
underviseren. Derfor har man på Singapore<br />
Management University implementeret det<br />
samme standarddesign på hele campus. Det<br />
er en praktisk <strong>og</strong> driftsikker løsning, der giver<br />
underviseren større incitament til at bruge<br />
teknol<strong>og</strong>ien. Et standardiseret design giver<br />
samtidig færre begrænsninger i skemaplanlægningen,<br />
<strong>og</strong> derfor maksimerer universitetet<br />
udnyttelsen af undervisningslokalerne.<br />
Udfordringen er, at det teknol<strong>og</strong>iske design<br />
skal understøtte forskellige fag <strong>og</strong> underviseres<br />
forskellige pædag<strong>og</strong>ikker.<br />
Løsningen var for universitetet at skabe et<br />
samarbejde mellem to professorer fra hvert<br />
fakultet <strong>og</strong> universitetets IT-afdeling. Gruppen<br />
indgik i et interaktivt samarbejde omkring<br />
teknol<strong>og</strong>iudviklingen. Det betød, at<br />
designet i udviklingsprocessen løbende blev<br />
tilpasset i forhold til lærerstabens input.<br />
Gennem et år testede undervisere <strong>og</strong> studerende<br />
de nye teknol<strong>og</strong>ier i et ”experimental<br />
teaching class room”. Derpå blev den endelige<br />
model implementeret på hele campus. Lokalet<br />
<strong>og</strong> samarbejdet mellem undervisere <strong>og</strong><br />
IT-afdeling sikrer nu en løbende udvikling af<br />
teknol<strong>og</strong>ien i undervisningslokalerne.<br />
96% af underviserne synes, at teknol<strong>og</strong>ien<br />
var let at anvende med lidt eller ingen træning<br />
et år efter, den blev indført i undervisningslokalerne.<br />
A standardised design for the fitting out of classrooms<br />
with technol<strong>og</strong>y helps implement ICT on<br />
the campus. The design is based on existing teaching<br />
requirements and was developed jointly by the<br />
teachers and the IT department.<br />
The teacher does not have to adapt to different<br />
technol<strong>og</strong>y in different rooms. The technol<strong>og</strong>y<br />
must be the same everywhere and be<br />
adapted to suit the teacher. Therefore, Singapore<br />
Management University has implemented<br />
the same standard design throughout<br />
the campus. This is a practical and safe solution<br />
that gives the teacher an incentive to use<br />
the technol<strong>og</strong>y. At the same time, the standardised<br />
design means fewer restrictions in<br />
the planning of the timetable and allows the<br />
university to maximise the use of classrooms.<br />
The challenge is that the technol<strong>og</strong>ical design<br />
must support different subjects and the<br />
teachers’ different teaching methods.<br />
The solution chosen by the university was to<br />
establish collaboration between two professors<br />
from each faculty and the university’s<br />
IT department. The group worked closely<br />
t<strong>og</strong>ether about the technol<strong>og</strong>ical development.<br />
As a result, the design was modified<br />
throughout the development process to take<br />
into account the input of the teachers.<br />
Over the course of a year, teachers and<br />
students tested the new technol<strong>og</strong>ies in<br />
an ‘experimental teaching classroom’. The<br />
final model was subsequently implemented<br />
throughout the campus. The room and the<br />
collaboration between teachers and IT department<br />
now ensure ongoing development<br />
of the technol<strong>og</strong>y in the classrooms.<br />
One year after the introduction of the technol<strong>og</strong>y<br />
in the classrooms, 96 % of the teachers<br />
think the technol<strong>og</strong>y is easy to use with<br />
little or no training.<br />
