Article 353<br />
Unlawful practice <strong>of</strong> veterinarian services<br />
Whoever without the proper pr<strong>of</strong>essional qualifications undertakes, for compensation, the<br />
treatment for animals or <strong>of</strong>fers other veterinarian services shall be punished by a fine or<br />
by imprisonment <strong>of</strong> up to six (6) months.<br />
Article 354<br />
Failure to comply with orders for suppressing diseases in animals and vegetation<br />
1. Whoever, at the time <strong>of</strong> an epidemic which might endanger livestock, fails to comply<br />
with an order or decision issued by a competent authority in accordance with the law<br />
providing for measures to suppress or prevent disease shall be punished by a fine or by<br />
imprisonment <strong>of</strong> up to three (3) years.<br />
2. Whoever, during the period <strong>of</strong> endangerment <strong>of</strong> vegetation by disease or pest, fails to<br />
comply with an order or decision by a competent authority providing for measures to<br />
suppress or prevent disease or pest shall be punished as provided for in paragraph 1 <strong>of</strong><br />
this Article.<br />
3. When the <strong>of</strong>fense provided for in paragraph 1 or 2 <strong>of</strong> this Article results in<br />
considerable damage to property the perpetrator shall be punished by a fine or by<br />
imprisonment <strong>of</strong> up to five (5) years.<br />
4. When the <strong>of</strong>fense provided for in paragraph 1 or 2 <strong>of</strong> this Article is committed by<br />
negligence, the perpetrator shall be punished by a fine or by imprisonment <strong>of</strong> up to one<br />
(1) year.<br />
5. When the <strong>of</strong>fense provided for in paragraph 3 <strong>of</strong> this Article is committed by<br />
negligence, the perpetrator shall be punished by a fine or by imprisonment <strong>of</strong> up to three<br />
(3) years.<br />
6. For the purposes <strong>of</strong> this article, “livestock,” means any bovine, goat, equine, bird,<br />
poultry, fowl, honey bee, sheep, pig or fish.<br />
Article 355<br />
Pollution <strong>of</strong> food and water for animals<br />
1. Whoever, by the use <strong>of</strong> a noxious or harmful substance, pollutes food or water for<br />
animals, birds, bees, wild animals or fish or pollutes any water supply whether natural or<br />
man-made that provides water for animals, birds, bees, wild animals or fish and thereby<br />
endangers the life or health <strong>of</strong> animals, birds, bees, wild animals or fish shall be punished<br />
by a fine or by imprisonment <strong>of</strong> up to two (2) years.<br />
