2.26. conscripting or enlisting children under the age <strong>of</strong> fifteen (15) years into the<br />

national armed forces or using them to participate actively in hostilities;<br />

2.27. intentionally launching an attack against works or installations containing<br />

dangerous forces in the knowledge that such attack will cause excessive loss <strong>of</strong><br />

life, injury to civilians or damage to civilian objects;<br />

2.28. intentionally launching an indiscriminate attack where such attack is not<br />

directed at a specific military objective, employs a method or means <strong>of</strong> combat<br />

which cannot be directed at a specific military objective or employs a method or<br />

means <strong>of</strong> combat the effects <strong>of</strong> which cannot be limited as required by Protocol I<br />

Additional to the Geneva Convention <strong>of</strong> 12 August 1949 and consequently, is <strong>of</strong> a<br />

nature to strike military objectives and civilians or civilian objects without<br />

distinction;<br />

2.29. enslavement and slave trade;<br />

2.30. imposing collective punishments;<br />

2.31. pressuring the population <strong>of</strong> an occupied territory to change their nationality<br />

or to take an oath to an enemy power.<br />

Article 152<br />

War crimes in serious violation <strong>of</strong> Article 3 common to the Geneva conventions<br />

1. Whoever commits a serious violation <strong>of</strong> Article 3 common to the four Geneva<br />

Conventions <strong>of</strong> 12 August 1949 shall be punished by imprisonment <strong>of</strong> not less than five<br />

(5) years or by life long imprisonment.<br />

2. A serious violation <strong>of</strong> Article 3 common to the four Geneva Conventions <strong>of</strong> 12 August<br />

1949 means one or more <strong>of</strong> the following acts committed in the context <strong>of</strong> an armed<br />

conflict not <strong>of</strong> an international character against persons taking no active part in the<br />

hostilities, including members <strong>of</strong> armed forces who have laid down their arms and those<br />

placed hors de combat by sickness, wounds, detention or any other cause:<br />

2.1. violence to life and person, in particular murder <strong>of</strong> all kinds, mutilation, cruel<br />

treatment and torture;<br />

2.2. committing outrages upon personal dignity, in particular humiliating and<br />

degrading treatment;<br />

2.3. taking <strong>of</strong> hostages;<br />
