TRANSCRIPTIONS OF "MISSING" WORKBOOKS<br />

The VI. C. MSS. contain copies of seven workbooks in the h<strong>and</strong> of<br />

<strong>Joyce's</strong> amanuensis, Mme. Raphael, herewith numbered VI. D. 1.-<br />

7. The original notebooks from which the copies were made are<br />

not to be found in the Joyce Collection of the <strong>University</strong> of <strong>Buffalo</strong>.<br />

They may be in the possession of another collector, or they may<br />

have been lost or destroyed in the mix-up of the war years (1940-<br />

45) in Paris.<br />

Title: No titles.<br />

Contents: Clear copies of the entries which were wo? crossed through<br />

with colored crayon in the original notebooks. (Mme. Raphael has<br />

made numerous errors in her transcriptions.) Entries mostly<br />

words, short phrases, <strong>and</strong> notes for possible use in FW.<br />
