augment is lower. The ZT forms may be reinterpretations conditioned by vowel coalescence<br />

between words, as seen in (24) above. Augment forms in NT, ZT, and some <strong>of</strong> their neighbors<br />

and relations are summarized in table 2.29. Crane (2007) has more information on augments<br />
