capable <strong>of</strong> completely covering the pygidium;<br />
apex <strong>of</strong> the elytral suture with an acute spine;<br />
metasternum and abdominal sternites green<br />
or yellow; mesothoracic process projecting<br />
apically to the procoxa; apical abdominal spiracle<br />
weakly protuberant; mesotarsomere 5<br />
and metatarsomere 5 with an internomedial<br />
tooth; modified mesotarsal claw in male with<br />
the apex bifurcate, dorsolaterally flattened;<br />
parameres reduced, distinctly smaller than<br />
the expanded phallobase; parameres with the<br />
apex rounded, expanded.<br />
DISTRIBUTION (Fig. 65). Known from the<br />
eastern slope <strong>of</strong> the Andes Mountains from<br />
northwestern Venezuela to southern Ecuador.<br />
