Type locality: Chirripó Valley, Cartago, Costa<br />

Rica.<br />

DESCRIPTION. Male (n=74). Length 20.3-<br />

24.4 mm, width 12.7-14.9 mm. Color dorsally<br />

light green (sometimes darkened to brownishgreen<br />

after death); yellow elytral, pronotal,<br />

head margin; weak yellowish-green longitudinal<br />

stripes on elytron. Ventrally light green,<br />

yellow. Body ovate, strongly convex. Head:<br />

Dorsal surface glabrous. Frons sparsely punctate<br />

(base) to moderately punctate (apex),<br />

clypeus densely punctate, punctures moderate.<br />

Frons not depressed. Frontoclypeal suture<br />

complete. Clypeal apex broadly rounded,<br />

weakly elevated. Eyes separated by approximately<br />

5.3 transverse eye-widths. Labrum<br />

densely punctate; punctures moderately<br />

large, setose; setae tawny. Apex <strong>of</strong> labrum<br />

with large, triangular, medial tooth; apex <strong>of</strong><br />

tooth broadly truncate, extending past apex<br />

<strong>of</strong> mentum. Mandibular scissorial region with<br />

strong apical tooth, weak medial tooth; molar<br />

region with well-developed lamellae. Maxilla<br />

with 1 apical, cup-like tooth enveloping 1 re-
